Italian Development Cooperation

As an integral part of Italy’s foreign policy, the approach of the Italian Development Cooperation is based on two priorities: first, the need to ensure the protection of life and human dignity to all the planet’s inhabitants; and second, a vision of cooperation as a method by which to install, improve and strengthen relations among various countries and various communities. In the last years, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has given high priority to interventions promoting the growth of the private sector and its competitiveness as a sustainable way to create productive and decent employment and attract foreign investment in the Southern Mediterranean. With a contribution of EUR 600,000, the Government of Italy is the second donor of the project “Development of clusters in cultural and creative industries in the Southern Mediterranean”.
